Should you build it the way you are about to?
Independent judgment on one decision, before you build on it. You send one thing and get back, in writing, what I would do, what I would not, and what I think breaks first.
$950 · written, within three business days
The question
Send one thing: a design document, a pull request, a single service or module, or a plain description of the decision you are arguing about. One of those, not all four, and small enough to read properly in an afternoon.
What you get
- What I would do.
- What I would not.
- What I think breaks first.
- What I would need to know before committing either way.
Each comes with the reasoning, so you can argue with it rather than take it on faith. If the answer is that you should not build it, or that I am not the right person to build it, you get that in writing too.
Price and timing
- Fee
- $950.
- Delivery
- Written, within three business days.
- Larger work
- If it turns into a larger engagement, the fee comes off it.
Pay $950 and send it · the same step, no call

What this is not
No call, no scheduling, no discovery process. It is one thing read properly and answered in writing.
Who does the work
Douglas Adolph. I designed and built the deployment system behind a fleet of thousands of production Kubernetes clusters at a Fortune 50 company, and took deployments to that fleet from weeks down to seconds, and I still maintain it today. Around it I have written the controllers that keep a fleet honest, the authentication path teams use to reach clusters at all, the secrets tooling, and the post-deploy verification that catches a release which reconciled cleanly and is quietly unhealthy.

Send me the problem
Tell me what you are trying to find out and I will tell you whether I can help, including when the answer is that you do not need me.
- What is stuck, or what you are trying to measure.
- What you have already tried, and what happened.
- Any date you are working against.
A short note beats a long form. What comes back is a reply from me rather than a scheduling link, which engagement fits or that none of them does, and for a build, a scope and a number before you owe anything.
